- Descrizione
- L-thiocitrulline, Dihydrochloride is a potent stereospecific inhibitor of all three isoforms of rat nitric oxide synthases (NOS1,2, and 3), that has greater inhibitory activity on neuronal nitric oxide synthase (NOS1) (Ki = 60 nM), compared to the inducibe isozyme (NOS2) (Ki = 3.6 μM). Inhibition is competitive with respect to L-Arginine, one of the native substrates, which suggests that L-thiocitrulline, Dihydrochloride preferentially occupies the L-Arginine binding site.
