- Descrizione
- 1,3-PBITU, Dihydrobromide (PBITU) is a competitive and highly potent inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) with a stronger selectivity for NOS2 than NOS3. PBITU has shown the ability, in Hypericum perforatum suspension cells, to inhibit the amplifying action between NO and H(2)O(2) and removed the synergistic effects of H(2)O(2) and NO on hypericin production. In Catharanthus roseus cells PBITU has demonstrated the ability to block both Bax-induced NO generation and terpenoid indole alkaloid prodction.
