- A cell-permeable, photo-stable hydroxyphenyl-substituted fluorescein compound that acts as a highly sensitive fluorescent probe for the detection of hydroxyl radical and peroxynitrite. It has little activity towards other reactive oxygen species (ROS), such as hypochlorite, singlet oxygen, superoxide, hydrogen peroxide, nitric oxide and alkyl peroxide.
