- Descrizione
- The inhibitor Gallotannin can strongly inhibit nitric oxide (NOS) activity, endothelial constitutive NOS3 (NO synthase; eNOS; NOSIII) (IC50= 2.2 μM), and PARG (poly (ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase). It is a weak inhibitor of inducible (NOS2; INOS; NOSII) and neuronal nitric oxide synthase (NOS3; nNOS; NOS I). Gallotannin can prevent oxidative cell death and is a free radical scavenger. Research shows that inhibition of PARG with tannin up-regulates expresssion of proinflammatory genes.
