- Descrizione
- Diphenyleneiodonium chloride has been shown to be a potent irrevesrible inhibitor of nitric oxide synthetase from macrophages and endothelial cells. It has also been used to inhibit other flavoenzymes such as neutrophil NADPH oxidase and to bind strongly to flavoproteins. It is thus a powerful and specific inhibitor of several important enzymes, including NADPH cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase, NADPH oxidases and NADPH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase.
